  Welcome to Embrace The Earth!  I'm pleased to present my Carbon Conscious Art series.  Embrace The Earth represents a lifelong journey of merging thought with reality.  Learning techniques of ancient past and collaborating concepts with fellow artists in the present.  Creating in a way that compels the soul to move forward, overcome obstacles, and work out the discernable details in order to achieve a desired result.  It's not just about the art, it's about a larger perspective that offers enlightenment within its resolve.  It's about telling these stories without words, but also maintaining the willingness to explain the components, concepts, and correlations with our remarkable reality.

  I create from a home studio and collaborate with a few artists on occasion.  I work with cone 10 clay from High Water and Laguna Clay companies.  I use various firing techniques, but for my Carbon Conscious Art series it's primarily Horsehair, Naked Raku, and Pit Fire.  All the black you see is pure carbon that's forced into the surface with these various firing techniques.  Though similarities occur, these techniques offer each piece it's own unique destiny.  In essence, they all snowflakes.
